I hired my best friend

When I graduated in 2020, I couldn't wait to leave my university work in the rear view mirror and move on to 'real work' (I'm sure most students feel the same).

My plan was to grab myself a nice cushdy 9-5 job at a design agency and build up my web designing skills.

Thankfully, this never happened.

I could have never expected the relentless encouragement that I would receive from both friends and family, questioning my plan and instead asking why I wasn't working on my final year major project (called ana. at the time) to develop it further.

The answer was simple: I hadn't the faintest idea where to start, let alone how to actually grow an idea and turn it into a feasible product.

As well as this, I was terrified at the thought of running my own business - it was just never something I pictured myself being able to do.

One of the main voices who helped me realise the mistake in my thinking, and inevitably push me to develop that university project, was Jonny.

Fast forward one year, and Jonny became the first person to invest in that now fully fledged idea-turned-business.

I still remember the mixed feelings of terror and excitement I had when I saw the Monzo Bank notification of the funds entering our shiny new business account.

It feels like a dream to announce today that Jonny has joined Kitt Medical as our new Head of Growth!

Along with our incredible CTO Simon and of course my Co-founder James, I couldn't feel prouder of the team we're building.
